Finding Purpose Through Entrepreneurship
Over the years, I decided to leave the corporate world to pursue more direct and meaningful work serving my Houston and other Texas communities. I purchased Snelling Staffing and our team expanded to five locations across Texas. Without all of my dedicated employees, I would have never been able to leave and pursue my mental health career. Today the operation is fully run by my business partner Matt.
Mental Healthcare & Substance Abuse Treatment
I went back to school specifically for substance abuse counseling and obtained additional licenses and certifications to better help those suffering from mental health concerns and addiction.
My credentials include Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), and Board Certified in Neurofeedback (BCN). I also hold a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from my previous corporate career.
My primary practice focus is brain health.
Neurofeedback & Counseling Practice
I started Sober Brains, offering neurofeedback solutions to improve brain health and support addiction recovery. I utilize advanced modalities like neurofeedback, QEEG brain mapping, and neurostimulation to accelerate your progress.
I also employ popular evidence-based counseling techniques such as CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness tailored to your needs.
Self-Care and Supporting Community
In my spare time, I enjoy quiet time and traveling with my partner Isaac. We manage two Airbnb properties, 5 Million Stars and Blue Pool House, to help fund our travels and focus on self-care.
I also own and host HAIF, a local Houston architecture forum that is another outlet allowing our community to connect.
I still enjoy technology as a hobby and have created many of my business and personal websites. I’m honored to serve Houston and all Texans through my mental health counseling services, employment resources, community initiatives, and sharing information online.
